ഡമാസ്കസ്: സിറിയയില്‍ ആഭ്യന്തര കലാപം രൂക്ഷമാകുന്നു. വിമതര്‍ രാജ്യതലസ്ഥാനമായ ഡമാസ്കസിന് 100 മീറ്റര്‍ അടുത്തു വരെ എത്തിയെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ബാഷര്‍ അല്‍ അസദിന്‍റെ ജന്മനാടായ ദാരായുടെ നിയന്ത്രണം ഏറ്റെടുത്തതിനു പിന്നാലെയാണ് വിമതര്‍ തലസ്ഥാനത്തോട് അടുക്കുന്നത്. അസദിന്‍റെ 30 വര്‍ഷം നീണ്ടു നിന്ന ഭരണത്തിനാണ് വിമതര്‍ വെല്ലുവിളിയുയര്‍ത്തുന്നത്. ഒരാഴ്ചയ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍ വിമതരുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാകുന്ന നാലാമത്തെ നഗരമാണ് ദാരാ.

ദാരായില്‍ അധികാരം പിടിച്ചെടുത്തതോടെയാണ് തലസ്ഥാനത്തേക്കുള്ള ദൂരം കുറഞ്ഞത്. 2011ല്‍ ആഭ്യന്തര കലാപം പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടത് ഇവിടെ നിന്നായിരുന്നു. രാജ്യത്തിന്‍റെ മധ്യമേഖലയിലുള്ള ഹമ, രാജ്യത്തെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ വലിയ നഗരം ആലപ്പോ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ അധികാരം നേടിയതിനു പിന്നാലെയാണ് വിമതര്‍ ദാരായും നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാക്കിയത്. റഷ്യയുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ വിമതരെ അടിച്ചമര്‍ത്താന്‍ സിറിയന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് അസദ് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇത് ഫലം കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

സിറിയയുമായി അതിര്‍ത്തി പങ്കിടുന്ന ജോര്‍ദാനും ലെബനനും അതിര്‍ത്തി കടക്കുന്നതിന് ജാഗ്രതാ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. സിറിയയ്ക്ക് സഹായം വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ഇറാന്‍ രാജ്യത്തു നിന്ന് സൈനികസംഘത്തെ പിന്‍വലിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. വിമതരുടെ ആഘോഷപ്രകടനങ്ങള്‍ സമൂഹമാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ പ്രചരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. വിമതര്‍ ശക്തി ആര്‍ജിച്ചതോടെ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് പേരാണ് പലായനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്. അല്‍ഖ്വയ്ദയുമായി ബന്ധമുള്ള ഹയാത് തഹ്റിര്‍ അല്‍~ഷാം (എച്ച്ടിഎസ്) ആണ് വിമത നീക്കത്തിന് നേതൃത്വംനല്‍കുന്നത്.
